Hi!
It's so good to finally have a bit of snow during the holidays! It hasn't seemed like Christmas to me because of the lack of snow. Coming from Minnesota, we never suffer from the no-snow syndrome. We have the "too much snow" syndrome! I spoke with my family today and they are snowed in with accumulations of up to 16" of snow. Now that's a snowstorm.
Today, in spite of the weather, we had a good turnout for our Recipe Exchange. Lots and lots of yummy appetizers.
Shawna's Photo Star class is being re-scheduled for later this month, probably before Christmas so you can still get a gift made. Its a great idea for grandparents, parents or anyone who likes having pictures on their walls. Check the website for the date of this class. Its one you won't want to miss.
There are lots of exciting classes coming up for the new year. For those of you who have been extra good and Santa brings you a Cricut machine, we will be having classes towards the end of January. The Cricut Club will continue to be the second Sunday of the month from 1-4p. Make sure to sign up and use your Cricut to help you with your layouts and cards. This is a good time to exchange cartridges and ideas with others. You can also use any of the cartridges the store has.
As I prepare to head back home tomorrow (Minnesota), I want to thank all of you for making me feel so at home here. I have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you. You all have a special place in my heart. You will be missed. I plan to be back the end of January to teach the Cricut classes and help out at the store when Marcia and Shawna attend a convention in California.
However you celebrate this season, I hope you have a joyous time. Take time to be with family and friends who are important to you. Share your heart, as well as your gifts. You never know whose life you may touch.
Happy Holidays!!

Hello Everyone!
Does anyone know how to slow this season down? I am finding myself soooo busy trying to get everything done before I leave for balmy Minnesota next week. My list of things to do keeps growing. It wouldn't be so long if I would finish at least one item! Oh well. Tis the season for long lists of things to do.
This past Saturday was our Open House. We had so much fun! We had lots of fun make and takes. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves by making projects and sampling Marcia and Shawna's delicious treats. Yum yum. A jolly good time was had by all.
This Sunday, December 14 Marcia is having her second annual recipe exchange. This class was a big hit last year when desserts were featured. This year Hors d'oeuvres are the selected item. All you have to do is bring your recipe on a card to exchange with everyone participating in the class. Call to get the updated attendance count. Bring in your recipes and a sample tray for everyone to taste. The class will meet at 1:30p and costs $10.00. You will leave here with several recipes and a 6X6 book to keep them in. How fun is that? Come in and join us for food, fun and laughter. Guaranteed to be plenty of all three!
We are still selling our $60 gift cards for $50. I say that's too good of a deal to pass up.
I hope all of you can take time to do something fun for yourself. We all know this is the time for giving, but sometimes in the spirit of giving we forget to enjoy life. Try not to let that happen to you!

Hi Everyone!

I hope all of you had a good Thanksgiving holiday. Mine was wonderful. I think I ate enough to last me for the rest of the year.

It has been a very busy weekend here. As we prepare for this Saturday's Open House, things don't appear to be slowing down. Hopefully my clothes will fit again by next week!

Make sure you take time to come in and join us for our second annual Open House this Saturday, December 06, from 10a-3p. This is a time when Marcia and Shawna extend their thanks to all of you for your continued support and presence here at the Scrapbook Pad. We value each and everyone of you and don't take lightly the great friends we have. We will be having refreshments, make-and-takes, and special gifts. We will also have some markdown items, such as our sale paper for 10 cents each. I think the best deal is when you purchase a $50 gift certificate, we add $10 to it, making it worth $60. Not sure how you can beat that!

I saw a quote the other today that made me stop and smile. I want to share it with all of you.

"As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations,

compounded by December's unpredictable weather, it is good

to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are

worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the

same." (Donald E. Westlake)

Isn't this so true? I just love it.

Come in and see us this Saturday. I hope you can take time during your busyness to enjoy this season.
